5052/5083/6061/6063/6082/7075 Aluminum Extrusion
The aluminum series used for extrusion that we could supply are as following:
1000 Series:
Pure aluminum, with an aluminum content ≥99%, such as 1050, 1060, 1070, and 1100.
Characteristics: Good electrical and thermal conductivity, excellent corrosion resistance, low strength, and easy to process.
2000 Series:
Copper as the main alloying element, such as 2011, 2014, and 2024.
Characteristics: High strength but poor corrosion resistance, commonly used in aerospace.
3000 Series:
Manganese as the main alloying element, such as 3003, 3004, and 3105.
Characteristics: Moderate strength, good corrosion resistance, often used in construction and packaging.
5000 Series:
Magnesium as the main alloying element, such as 5005, 5052, and 5083.
Characteristics: Excellent corrosion resistance, relatively high strength, suitable for ships and vehicles.
6000 Series:
Magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements, such as 6005, 6061, 6063, and 6082.
Characteristics: Good overall performance, widely used in construction, automotive, and machinery.
7000 Series:
Zinc as the main alloying element, such as 7005 and 7075.
Characteristics: Extremely high strength, commonly used in aerospace and military applications.
The conclusion characteristics of above series:
1000 Series: Pure aluminum, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity.
2000 Series: High strength, poor corrosion resistance.
3000 Series: Moderate strength, good corrosion resistance.
5000 Series: Excellent corrosion resistance, relatively high strength.
6000 Series: Good overall performance, widely used.
7000 Series: Ultra-high strength, used in high-end applications.
